Dow Chemical, Verizon, DuPont, Chesapeake Energy, Peabody Coal and Massey Energy all have offices in the area. You’ll also find the University of Charleston, West Virginia State University and Marshall University nearby. West Virginia University, is located just three hours north in Morgantown.
